Art at the Point

Art at the Point is an exciting modern art gallery located in the village of Dennes Point – the northernmost tip of Bruny Island in Tasmania.

The Gallery features the work of Bruny Island artists as well as those with a strong association with the island through family, land or immersive experience.

Painting, printmaking, jewellery, textiles, glass, sculptures and woodwork are represented by artwork that is original and often unique with a strong reference to place as the artists respond directly to the beautiful island landscape, wildlife and history. A wide range of art cards produced by the artists is also available.

The Gallery is located in the new contemporary wood and glass building designed by John Wardle and Associates and built by community volunteers. The community project was funded by a grant from the Commonwealth Government and the local Kingborough Council and contains not only the purpose designed Gallery, but also the wonderful Jetty Cafe and Providore store.

Currently the Gallery is open five days per week (Fri to Tues) from 10 am until 4 pm.  Closed Wednesdays & Thursdays.   Winter break will see the Gallery close from July the 17th to the first week in September 2016.
